Born and raised a mile from the shop,
I spent much of my childhood with my family working in clothing factories along 8th avenue in Brooklyn in the late 90’s/early 2000’s.
When I was too young to cut thread, I would sit in the office and teach myself to draw.
Fast forward too many years and it turns out I’m still drawing, and apparently still enjoy the sound of loud machinery and needles hammering away around me.
I completed my formal apprenticeship in Indiana, where I spent 6 years learning the traditional American approach to tattooing and getting my miles in working (mostly solo and often seven days a week) in a high-traffic 23 year-old walk-in shop. Now I am home and hoping to contribute some quality tattoos to my neighborhood.
I care very much about tattooing, and I hope I am lucky enough to keep doing this for as long as I am alive. Let’s get to work.
